In 2017 we have an opportunity to make new habits, instead of turning in and giving your last thoughts of the night to stress, bills, and worry… say a prayer. Give all that you have to God and watch Him exchange your pain for Peace!

It doesn’t have to be deep or long, but God said in Matthew 11:28- Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

We have entered and brand new year with new dreams, expectations, and even aspirations. While we are creating passions and goals, I propose to you thought. This year, choose to change your mind. So many of the things God has given to us is held up by a corrupted mindset. If you can control the direction of your thoughts, then you can change the direction of your life.

Why is the mind so important, because our thoughts represent our heart! Our thoughts supersede our actions. For example, many of us for the new year would like to lose weight, if our mindset hasn’t changed about getting healthier than our feet will never make it out of bed. We’ll set the alarm, buy a gym membership, even get the clothes to be stylish in the gym… but if our mind has not been convinced of the benefit of working out, then we simply won’t do it.

Today, as we take the first step toward this year’s goals, don’t forget your mind. Take time and focus on who mentally you want to be and make the rational decision to stick to it. When you feel too tired or discouraged to push forward to your goal, change your mind. Tell yourself that you are a finisher and God has not only given you the victory but the ability to accomplish what you have started.

One of those days #overit

Have you ever had one of those days where everyone you come in contact with seems to have an attitude?  Thing after thing goes wrong and all you want to do is cry? You have a breakthrough but you can’t discuss it because that will expose a bigger issue you’ve  been dealing with???

Yes we Christians have that issue as well…

God knew we would have days like that,  that’s why in Mathew 11:28 it says:

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest

But that’s not all!! Verse 29 says

Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

MEANING: we have a #loving #caring heavenly father that said I know you’re hurt and having a rough day… give it to me because I will not only handle it but teach you how to handle it as well☆☆☆

Today find #peace #strength and #victory in God ! Give Him your pain and watch Him exchange it for peace

God is able

No matter what you have at the end of the sentence… God is able…. period.

I’m a _____ Thief, liar, murder, fornicator, gossiper, not smart enough, not dedicated, depressed, bi- polar, sickly, homeless, on my last dollar, in need of car, worried about my child, cheating on my spouse, alone in a new city, single, an addict , fatherless, motherless, an addict, a porn star, a prostitute, drug dealer, in church but don’t know God, don’t know my purpose, don’t know  who I am …..

I don’t care what it is God is able to see you through it, but you have to welcome him into your life!

Jim Rhon- “Happiness is not something you postpone for the the future; it’s something you design for the present.”

So, I pose the question today – why aren’t you happy?  What obstacle do you believe stands between you and the life you want yourself? If you do not know the answer to that question then may I suggest that you have identified the first problem? Knowing the “issue” is as just as important as knowing the desired solution. Knowing what’s wrong is like wearing an armor of protection, so that when wrong comes knocking on your door, you will not answer!

Tonight, I challenge you to make a list of what makes you happy, then on the other side of the page write what makes you mad. Once you can see a substantial list, you can do a mental evaluation to see if you are entertaining things in your life that bring happiness or pain.  You don’t have to conquer the list in one day, but if you choose to make something on your “happy”  list exist in your life every day, I guarantee you will be better for it. Peace

It hurts when things go badly

It’s scary when you see wonderful things ahead of you and but pain, disappointment, and anguish stand beside you. You know the scriptures and worship songs that encourage you to go to God, but you haven’t done it yet. Brother, Sister, the time is now- activate the faith you know exists inside of you. The only way you can get out of this hell whole is to say no to the devil. You have to stand on your worship, stand of your knowledge of God, move when God says move even if it’s not comfortable. Change the atmosphere and choose to give God the praise He deserves even when you’re hurting. Pain will come, but the amazing thing is that God is already all around you and your situation. You have to choose God, choose uncomfortably, choose blind love. Peace
