Meditation Monday!

Ok, ladies and gents, by now you should be looking forward to your moment of positivity, light, and rejuvenation. God says in His word that above all He wishes that you prosper and be in good health. Do you know that stress and worry can negatively affect your health? Today give your mind some medicine, take a moment away from the clutter of the day and find Gods peace, so that you too can prosper and live the life God intended for you. Selah #SLiM

Meditation Monday

Sometimes the beginning of the week can be the most hectic. We have lists in our minds, paper on our desks, and people to put up with on our jobs. At this moment, and in this space you have an opportunity to relax your mind and your anxieties. Choose to have 30 minutes of peace right now! The work, todos, and people will still be there when you’re done I’m sure of it. But when you choose to have mental health, you offer your “best self” to the day. After refreshing your mind and spirit, the rest of the day is forced to get into alignment with the standard of peace you have presented to yourself. Check out this clip from Dr. Beckwith and let me know what you think! Selah #SLiM

Meditation Monday

Alright, family and friends its time to close your eyes, thoughts, and anxiety and learn how to channel Gods uncomparable peace into your life. We all have good days and bad days, but guess what… you can learn how to turn those bad days into good ones. It’s called having a healthy perspective. Did you know that you can learn to give your thoughts, fears, and worries to God? God wants to hear your concerns but you have to be still, talk, then listen. Check out this powerful segment from Dr. Beckwith. Selah #SLiM

What do you see #vision

Every morning you and I have the opportunity to wake up to stress and anguish or expectation and possibility!  The choice is yours, with the life God gives you an incomparable gift called POSSIBILITY. You and I have the opportunity today to choose Joy over frustration, Peace over anxiety, Longsuffering over a short temper, Kindness over curse words, Love over hatred.  But you have to answer the question ” What do you see?” If you choose negativity, you’ll receive negativity.

In the word of God it is said like this Joshua 24:15- Choose ye this day who ye will serve! Through our thoughts, words, and vision for the day, we give power to what we want out of our life. Choose today as the first of many where you see greatness, prosperity, and abundance in your life. Not just for tangible items but of love, peace, and wellbeing. Selah

#jonathanmcrenolds- ” I dont want to be EMPTY”

There are some worship experiences that I can not help but post over and over again. So many of us as Christians privately cry out to God to keep our focus on Him so that we can become everything that God wants us to be… but inside we are broken. The world wants us to believe that there is a pain that comes with brokenness, a shame that is enveloped in brokenness, but I’m here to tell you that the devil is a LIE. The word of God says broken is beautiful, and when we abide in God, in a place no one has to know about… Psalms 91 calls it a “secret” place. Then that brokenness, ugliness, un-Christian likeness, can be made whole and beautiful! We all need calibrating in our lives; no one is without fixing and asking for forgiveness.. so with this worship, I want to help someone release themselves from the pressure we sometimes carry in life. Enjoy

How do I become a person who prays? #keepitreal

Too many times in our life, situations pile up like five o clock traffic, and while we’re in the midst of feeling stuck and aggravated, we do what comes naturally to us. Call a friend, scroll twitter, facebook or other social media. So today I want to talk to you about making prayer a natural reaction to life. Just like any habit, prayer is something you work at until your muscle memory defaults to prayer. You can train your thoughts to be on God when things are happening in your life. How? Start with 5 minutes a day; there is an amazing prayer app called “ the prayer app” that has tons of prayers for every occasion. Most of the prayers are less than 2  minutes long, download the app (it’s free) and find five minutes of your day to stop and pray. It has been said that it takes 21 days to create a habit, so if you can commit today to taking 5 minutes to pray for 21 days, I guarantee your life will never be the same. Let me know if you can commit 5 Minutes to pray for 21 days!

Peace

Fridays

Smiles plastered as book bags drop

Plop plop YAY

Blankets gather together to see

Today is your pick, next week it’s on me

Cheese, butter, sweet, cold

No matter our age it never gets old

Family means you plus me plus time

We laugh until the sun runs behind the moon

Until our tummy looks full bloom

This is our day when work stands still

And anything serious gets forgotten

And being together is our thrill

A movie, a game, it doesn’t really matter

Listening, sharing, and admiring our smiles stuck on like plaster.

God loves you

Occasionally the trials and misfortunes we come across in life attempts to overshadow the love God has for us. I am here to assure you that no matter how many times you have messed up, or what is going bad in your life today, God still loves you.

In church you are encouraged to read your bible because the bible gives a roadmap of how God loves you through every situation that you may be going through. The bible is bursting with examples of the brilliant way God loves us past our issues. So I encourage you today to dig into the great book and experience the life changing love of God. Still Don’t believe God loves you… read Romans 5:8. Peace

Don’t let it KILL you!

One of my favorite authors Zig Ziglar says “Make failure your teacher, not your UNDERTAKER.”  I love this quote because it reminds me of the transitions we have in life. Sometimes the road will be rough, often times events will not transpire the way we would like… but ultimately failures are merely stepping stones in the direction of success. Its ok to acknowledge the pain of disappointments and misfortune, but we cannot allow it to consume us.

When failure comes your way, accept it… mourn it … then ask two questions.

  • Why did it happen
  • What can I learn from it

Once you answer the questions, do something you enjoy to bring the mood up, then move on. Today I want to encourage someone…keep pushing…keep trying…keep working because in the end You Will Win!

Work for it!

The statement “you don’t get something for nothing” is beyond true, it’s a winner’s mentality. The bible uses the analogy of a farmer planting a seed then reaping a harvest. When you look at your life, if it’s not what you want it to be, evaluate the seeds being planted. If you want to be an entrepreneur, are you taking small steps towards owning your business? If you would like to be a writer have you enrolled in a class to learn how to effectively convey your message?

No matter what it is that you want in life, it will require of you. Make a plan for your future, then intentionally run towards it. I guarantee there will be struggle, but after enduring you will march into a world where your life become your wildest dream.
