The word of God says in Psalms 46:10 “ Be still and know that I am God.” Our life can get so BUSY with work, family, and even fun. Do you know that by taking a minute to slow down you could actually be more productive? Being Still allows God to interject His divine power into what you are doing. Enjoy today’s meditation. Today on Meditation Monday I’d like to talk about the weight of unforgiveness. Unforgiveness can become a cancer in our spirit and the word of God says if we can not forgive one another God will not forgive us! This Monday let go of the pain someone has caused you, become embraced by Gods love and his forgiveness as you learn to forgive others. Take this moment to get quiet and seek Gods peace for your life… enjoy! #SLiM
What weight are you carrying behind your eyes? Jobs, relationships, family, they all can be stressors in our life if we don’t learn how to balance our concern with our responsibility. Meditation is something I do now because it allows me to separate things that belong to God from the things I should be handling. By slowing down and taking a few minutes to breathe, I leave meditation feeling both balanced and capable. The responsibilities around me no longer plague my existence, and by meditating I have set my burdens on the appropriate alter where God can step in and take over. Truth changes you, it has the ability to transform your world as you know it to exist, but are you getting fed “truth” in your life?
If there was a tragic storm and over the radio, the city gave instructions for you and your family to be saved, would you agree that your ability to hear changed your life? What if the same situation occurred in your faith? Why is it that in spirituality we are willing to turn our radios on and off at will, with no urgency or expectancy of help and provision?
As Christians, our life and the lives around us is at stake and the information we receive can change the course of our future. People of God lets stop living our spiritual life haphazardly and plug into the word of God, and a church that preaches the word of God. Our provision is coming, the word has been set into action… its time for you to turn your radio on. Selah #SLiM
it is time to slow the day down and regain some of the peace you may have lost today. Meditation, I have found, is an incredible way to simply stop and get quiet with God. Sometimes we come to God in our prayer time or thoughts with so many questions and comments but have you ever considered listening to what God wants to say to you? That is my purpose behind meditation, quieting my mind and spirit so that I can hear what God is saying. Click the link below and join me here Mondays for “Meditation Mondays.” #SLiM
In modesty, there are times we hold back our grand desires from God believing that our desires may not be what God wants for us. But if we were to read Gods word, He tells us time and time again that His intention as 3 John 2 says “we are to prosper and be in good health even as our soul prospers.” This means that along with your “spiritual” health, God wants you and I to know a life filled with wonderful things that not only bless you but spills over to every person you encounter.
Can you imagine, being so blessed that you bless everyone around you? To get through that door, you must first get up and have the intention to be who God called you to be… even if that means being amazing, incredible, or a world changer!
We are at the beginning of a new year, don’t hold back … push forward and know that if God is for you, who can be against you? You were created to win, so don’t hide from the rain in fear of drowning, ask for rain while the rain is falling! Selah #SLiM
This year has been one of transitions, one thing I have learned is to have the stubbornness of a mule when it comes to the things of God. I call it my “God-given backbone.”
Sometimes we feel as Christians that it is our responsivity to be meek and passive when God is calling for us to stand up and be bold; Acknowledge Him in all we do with the utmost confidence and courage. The time has passed for the passive Christian, get to know God so that you can stand on His shoulders and live the victorious life you were destined for. Say YES when you mean YES, and say No when you mean NO! we are accountable to God, and if you are listening to the direction of God then, in the end, it …. will… be… OK! So, take a deep breath and choose strength, courage, and truth today. Work out that Back Bone. Selah.
The most powerful thing you can do is allow God to have His way in your life. When God inspires you, it is then your responsibility to move as God says move. You are smart, creative, and capable… but God is Omnipresent, all knowing, and all powerful. In God the impossible becomes possible. So be thankful for the inspiration, then show your gratitude by infusing His love and vision into everything you do.
Today was rough, this season has been difficult, and this year is coming to a close. But… You have made it. In our walk with God we are not promised a stress free life, instead we are given a gift of peace, long suffering , love, self control, and much more. What does that have to do with the struggles in life? Well, the gifts are our line of defense against the struggles that want to bring us down. God doesn’t abandon us during rough times, instead He offers the ability to overcome and even flurish. Pinpoint what gift you need in this time of pain from Galatians 5:22 , pray and ask God to show you your life vest.
Many times on this blog I share information about how to be your best you, but tonight we’re going to talk about how being the best you will positively contribute to the relationships around you.
Today we’re talking about the ability to listen, listening is a lost skill in my opinion , one in which a person is able to express themselves without the other person waiting for an opportunity to interject or give their opinion. I know it is difficult to Simply listen to a story or exclamation without remembering a similar situation of your own, but I challenge you this weekend to “intentionally listen.” Hear what the person who speaking to you is truly saying, and when they’re finished, respond… But hold your comments until then. This simple self discipline will introduce you to healthier and more fufilling relationships. Let me know how “intentionally listening” affected your weekend, Selah.
