Sometimes the beginning of the week can be the most hectic. We have lists in our minds, paper on our desks, and people to put up with on our jobs. At this moment, and in this space you have an opportunity to relax your mind and your anxieties. Choose to have 30 minutes of peace right now! The work, todos, and people will still be there when you’re done I’m sure of it. But when you choose to have mental health, you offer your “best self” to the day. After refreshing your mind and spirit, the rest of the day is forced to get into alignment with the standard of peace you have presented to yourself. The word of God says in Psalms 46:10 “ Be still and know that I am God.” Our life can get so BUSY with work, family, and even fun. Do you know that by taking a minute to slow down you could actually be more productive? Being Still allows God to interject His divine power into what you are doing. Enjoy today’s meditation. What weight are you carrying behind your eyes? Jobs, relationships, family, they all can be stressors in our life if we don’t learn how to balance our concern with our responsibility. Meditation is something I do now because it allows me to separate things that belong to God from the things I should be handling. By slowing down and taking a few minutes to breathe, I leave meditation feeling both balanced and capable. The responsibilities around me no longer plague my existence, and by meditating I have set my burdens on the appropriate alter where God can step in and take over. it is time to slow the day down and regain some of the peace you may have lost today. Meditation, I have found, is an incredible way to simply stop and get quiet with God. Sometimes we come to God in our prayer time or thoughts with so many questions and comments but have you ever considered listening to what God wants to say to you? That is my purpose behind meditation, quieting my mind and spirit so that I can hear what God is saying. Click the link below and join me here Mondays for “Meditation Mondays.” #SLiM
Welcome back to meditation Monday! Today we are going to tune into the aspect of worship. One of the most amazing ways to block out the world, and tune into the internal voice of God inside of you… is through worship.
Worship a key that ignites the faith inside of you. When you slow down your day and make positive proclamations about God and life, God then pours His joy, His peace, and His goodness over both you and your situation. Psalms 49:10 says ” be still and know that I am God” acknowledging God and His greatness in spite of anything going on around you is the solution to your restlessness, stress, and anguish.

Meditation Monday: when you hear the word meditation what do you think?
Meditation is an opportunity for you to shut off the stress of the world and focus on God your creator. Every Monday you can reach me right here and I will go through baby steps introducing meditation techniques as well as the benefits of adding meditation to your weekly routine.
Step one: Understand why you need to meditate
The word of God says “as a man thinketh so is he..” Proverbs 23:7. If you can learn how to control your thoughts, you can control your expression of those thoughts. Your mind is a muscle and you can learn how to control what goes in and out of it.
