As we get closer to the new year, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by what could have and should have happened this year. I want to offer a moment of clarity. Stop running from the should of, could of, and would of and focus on what is. You are here now and still, have the opportunity to be celebrated in 2018. The potential that was ignited in you from January could still reign true in December. Don’t give up, you can do it! Check out the meditation video and let me know what you think. Selah.
It Monday ladies and gentlemen so you know what that means. It’s time to close the door on the world and tune into the unfailing love and peace of God.
For today’s meditation, I want you to think about what you want out of this new year. I know that December has just begun, but its never too early to plan a future success. One of the premier steps in progress is in knowing what you want out of your tomorrow.
Take a moment and write down want out of 2019. Share below if you’d like. Selah
Hello Everyone, here is a prayer for forgiveness:
Heavenly Father, I (we) come to You now in the Name of my (our) Lord
and Savior Christ Jesus, I (we) make a joyful shout to You, we come
before Your Presence with singing, and we enter into Your gates with
thanksgiving, and into Your courts with praise. Lord throughout this
prayer and throughout this day I pray for myself(ourselves) and the
following people _____, _____, _____, and _____ .
Forgiveness of Sin Prayer
Heavenly Father qwshave mercy on me/us, our children and grandchildren, our friends and
family and the people we have prayed for and according to Your loving
kindness, and according to the multitude of Your tender mercies blot out
all our transgressions, and wash us totally from our iniquities and cleanse
us from our sins. For we do acknowledge our transgressions and our sin
is always before us, and against You and You only have we sinned and
have done this evil in Your sight. That You may be found just when You
speak and blameless when You judge. Behold we were brought forth in
iniquity and in sin our mother conceived us, and behold You desire truth
in the inward parts, in the hidden parts You will make us to know
wisdom. Purge us with hyssop, we shall be clean, wash us and we shall
be whiter than snow. Make us to know Your joy and gladness that the
bones that You have broken may rejoice and hide Your face from our
sins, and blot out our iniquities. Create in us a clean heart O God and
renew a steadfast spirit within us and do not cast us away from Your
Presence. Please do not take Your Holy Spirit from us but restore to us
the joy of Your salvation and uphold us by Your generous Spirit that we
would be able to teach transgressors Your ways and sinners can be
converted to You. Deliver us from any blood guiltiness, God of our
salvation, and our tongue shall sing aloud of Your Righteousness. Lord
open our lips and our mouths shall show forth Your praise. For God does
not desire sacrifice or else we would give it, God doesn’t delight in burnt
offerings. The acceptable sacrifices of God are a humble spirit, a broken
and contrite heart. These God will not despise. Do good in Your good
pleasure to Zion. Build thou the walls of Jerusalem, then Lord, You will
be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness. I (we) humble myself
(ourselves) in complete repentance before You. I/we ask you to forgive
me (or us) for any unforgiveness, unrighteousness, fornication,
wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, envy, murder, deceit, hatred,
whispering, backbiting, despitefulness, pride, boasters, inventors of evil
things, disobedient to parents, being without understanding, covenant
breaker(s), without natural affection, homosexuality, unmerciful,
injustices, whoredoms, bitterness, evil, evil reasoning, murmuring, doing
evil, with no covenant, no love and no peace, argumentative and causing
strife. Oh Lord, I/We ask You to forgive each of us of our sins,
transgressions, iniquities, trespasses, unforgiveness, approving the sins of
others, and I/we ask You to cover those sins with the blood of Jesus
Christ. Father I/we truly repent for our sins
I love that in this day and age people who have received success tells the truth about how many times they have failed. Many success stories talk about homelessness, displacement, and hunger that inspired them to keep going.
My truth when it comes to success is that I had to develop the audacity to work harder than anyone around me.
I have opened a non- profit and an Early Learning Academy. To do so, I had to stay up when others were sleeping, read, research, go back to school, ask questions, and be willing to be mentored. The road is not easy, but the passion for the work had to exceed my need for comfort. I had to be ok with not being average and standing apart. But most of all I had to acknowledge the God that is inside of me.
The same God that lives in me also lives in you. Choose today to stand apart, work hard, and sacrifice for the passion God placed inside of you!
Have you ever been in a situation that you know is wrong and you go along just to get along? Or am I the only one?????
In this season we are taking hold of our independence, but this independence, honesty and need to be forthright must start with ourselves.
If someone is gossiping, tell them to be quiet, or make it clear that you are not comfortable with them gossiping around you.
If you are tired of having just enough money at the end of the month, make time to sit down and create a budget.
If you have not been kind to someone, walk up to the person and apologize.
This time of acceptance is not just for everyone around you in this world, it’s for you. You must stand up for what is true in you.
You never know, the courage you express on your job, at school, on in your relationship may inspire people around you to stand in their truth as well… and where there is truth, there is freedom.
Ok, guys its that time again. It’s time to learn the power of forgiveness!
What is there to gain by learning how to forgive? Here are some benefits of forgivenesss:
- Healthier relationships.
- Improved mental health.
- Less anxiety, stress, and hostility.
When you are able to move past a mistake someone has made against you, you then open a new door that is elevated past the experience and welcomes you into a world of development and maturity. You are now saying to the world that you can not be held captive to past pains and circumstance.
This New Freedom exudes love not only in your work relationships, or school, but in your personal relationships as well. You no longer have to be stressed by things that happened to you or feel hostile about the things that happened around you. You now become a person who holds the key to every door you wish to walk through. Instead of feeling like you’re being dragged through every door that life throws at you.
Remember. Forgiveness equals freedom. Stop by next week and learn the steps of forgiveness.
No matter where you are and what you are doing an attitude of worship can elevate the way your experience life.
What is an attitude of worship? It is when you can look into the face of life and see God in it. Guess what, as long as we live on this earth there will be both good days and bad days. But when we choose to find “God” in every situaion, we are taking a fighting stance in life. You may be late to work, but you can say, “Ok God you may have been protecting me from a potential car accident, thank you, Lord.” A relationship may end, but God may have been trying to get you the job you have been praying for located in the state your partner didn’t want to travel to.
The Bible says that all thing work together for our good. So if we stop looking at the situation and look at God, we will then see the glory in every story. That my friend is an attitude of worship. Choosing to live in a place where God rules, thrives, and has His perfect way.
Matt 18: 35: So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
Refusing to forgive is a sin. If we receive forgiveness from God, we must give it to others who hurt us. We cannot hold grudges or seek revenge. We are to trust God for justice and forgive the person who offended us.
That does not mean we must forget the offense, however, usually, that’s beyond our power.
An unforgiving, vengeful, or bitter spirit will not only affect you and those around you, but it will also separate you from the blessing of God. Therefore you must forgive others no matter what the offense.
Thank you Pastor Pat Buckley for putting this transformative information online.
To get a prayer to help with forgiveness come back next week!
When you don’t do what your supposed to do there are consequences. I have decided to go back to school because there is much to learn in the field of psychology. In order to give the most accurate information, I had to go back to school!
Now, in this journey I have learned to do the right thing the first time! If an assignment is due, I have a better score when I take my time and read through the assignments before giving an answer.
I’m writing this post today because God put on my spirit that many of us choose to do the right thing at the wrong time. Our life is one big assignment… instead of taking the time to develop, research, then respond; we are giving what ever answer comes to the top of our head, hoping that in the end it’s enough to suffice.
Let today be the day you choose to give your best the first time. If you’re on a job give your all! Don’t become lazy and compliant because it’s not your dream, God has you there for a reason so be effective. If you’re in a relationship be attentive and respectful, if you’re a parent, sacrifice for your personal time for time with your child.
Take time and develop yourself so that when you present yourself to the world you give your best answer.
