When we think about moving backward, it’s usually said negatively, implying the person is regressing instead of improving, when that simply is not true. There are times when we need to step back from the situation, assess where we are, then move forward with a clear head. I know personally, I am a mom, pastor, entrepreneur, student, and much more and if I don’t take a day every now and then to step back, breathe, and organize … then I just might blow up into a million pieces.
Assessing and organizing is a beautiful thing and will require your full attention. If you are trying to organize while doing other tasks, you will continue to feel overwhelmed and stressed. But pressing the pause button on life and getting your thoughts, feeling, and needs in order can propel you farther than consistent work ever will.
