Gratitude

Sometimes in life, we wait until we have the right amount of money, the right outfit, the right significant other in our life in order to declare ourselves “happy”. When in actuality we are blessed right now with beautiful things, we just have to decide to see it. The poem below is written about a person having wonderful things all around them but walking pass the opportunity to see these great things every day. I challenge you to see the great in your life today. Enjoy

You choose to walk past every mirror

Beautiful pictures hang in your home

Your children shine

Your work is purposeful and yet

You choose to walk past every mirror

Your food is plentiful

Your rest whispers peace

Your friends are many… yet

You choose to walk past every mirror

Your home is furnished

Your water is warm

Your lights say on

Yet

You choose to walk past every mirror
